Today is April 1st and the start of Script Frenzy. Last year I wrote the first screenplay of my tetrology Piper to the Alternative. It is called Vienna Mystery. This year I am writing the third -- Eroica. I will blog my progress and frustrations in order the share the experience and keep a record of it.
As I prepare to bring up Celtyx, screenwrting software, I find myself feeling blocked and a bit unhappy -- it doesn't help that the sky is gray. Nevertheless, I have plotted out the scenes, and hope that once I enter the unique environment of Pamina Eastman, the skies will clear.
Pamina is, at this point, an antihero. She has refused the call and is sufferent the consequences. She has married, as her Mother insisted. In Eroica her character will evolve from someone who is a victim and has lost their voice, to one willing to face the challenges of her life with courage.
Of course, I will be listening to Beethoven, even though it was the Mahler V I was hearing as I woke up.
